Best Microwave I have ever owned!

I have an exceptionally small kitchen and have struggled with space for many years. My microwave is a necessity and used more than anything else for defrosting foods.I was drawn to this model by its compact size, other half grumbled a bit at the price but I talked him around.It is so much more compact than a regular microwave. For starters its a little taller, its rounded back design means it sits happily in a corner leaving valuable, useable workspace in front of it. Its worth noting here that because the door to the oven is raised off the worktop by a few inches you can use the microwave AND the worktop because whatever you have on the surface the door will clear. Also worth mentioning that the rounded back design continues inside the oven making it a breeze to wipe out after cooking.The jet defrost on this model is remarkable, taking just 6 minutes to defrost chicken when my old Delonghi took closer to 12 minutes and then managed to half cook the food. A nice feature is that midway through the defrost the microwave stops and alerts you to 'turn food'.I've also tested the steam function, which is again quite useful! Approximately 11 minutes to cook 500g of potato.I really can't find fault with this model at all, buttons are easy to press, accommodates my large dinner plates with ease as well as a fairly tall jug, it looks marvellously stylish (several friends have mistaken it for a TV!), easy to clean and the purple colour looks quite funky.No regrets at all with my choice, and even the other half is coming round to it's brilliance!

If you live in a flat and tailor appliances to available space, this is ideal. If you also want an appliance with isn't tediously square and has a bit of style about, this is REALLY ideal. I have never understood how we in the UK have such boring choices on things which are by their very nature functional and ... well ... boring. This is so cute and available in lovely colours that your kitchen will be bright and fun instead of every single appliance in there being white, metal and ... yawn ... square. Recommend highly. As ever, you have to pay extra to have a bit of colour, but it's worth it to cheer yourself up. Why have we never cottoned on that colour brings happiness here? Functional items don't need to be colourless. Get with it Britain!

My kitchen has been replaced & my 30yr old microwave was in need of a rest so when I saw this one it was its look that got my attention! No regrets though. Its great to look at, easy to use, steam function is great & it takes up less space than my old one. I have used the steam function for every vegetable I have cooked since I got it. Visitors love the look of it and its certainly a talking point, its been called cute, awesome etc - not usual words to describe a microwave! I would highly recommend.
