Whirlpool microwave VT266

To call this a microwave oven is understating the functionality. My wife wanted a cream or black microwave to match her kitchen design. I found this on Amazon and she loves it. Can function as a normal microwave with 5 different power settings and this alone makes it good value. Add in the jet defrost function, the crisp function, the steaming facility for vegetables and you begin to get some idea of just how indispensable this oven becomes, and it blends in with her kitchen beautifully!

I bought this as I was having my kitchen refurbished and decided that if I was going down the route of having a microwave I ought to get one that is all-singing, all-dancing. I also decided to get this as my previous washing machine was a Whirlpool that lasted me 12 years before it died, and at work there was a Whirlpool combination microwave oven I just fell in love with the various functions which make it a very versatile tool. This is only 100Kw less than the professional microwave with the same features and has become a really useful tool in my kitchen, I can't stop using it. I find I use it more than my cooker for smaller items and it's easier to clean. The steam function is a really useful and brilliant feature as I can have steamed veg and fish which is a really healthy way to eat. Even the ubiquitous "fry up" is fat free with jetmenu crisp function. Brilliant!!

Hi,This was my first purchase trough Amazon UK besides games, movies and other small stuff.I was a bit afraid that something like this from the UK to Portugal would go wrong some time but so far so good =)My parents had a similar model (264 I think in White) and as someone said here also, black was the right choice for my kitchen since I agreed with my wife that (almost) everything would be black.I knew the model and in Portugal I didn't find it in black, that and the price Amazon did I think made me buy this. So price Excellent! Delivery "Super Saver"!! Looks "Great"!!Now regarding the microwave, 800W is enough, I had one with 1000W but it only gained some seconds and cost 450 some years ago (Whirlpool also 5*), grill and crisp I love it and the steam is something that I'm still learning to use but seems great, I still try to make it work better so that is a positive thing. Grill for smaller food or for just enough food for two is perfect. The grill warms up much faster than my older one, saves more energy.24L is ok not as big as the older one but we don't need anything bigger, we have the oven for bigger things.One thing I miss is that metal accessory you put below the dish so that it gets nearer the grill but maybe you can buy it separately.If you buy this for other countries don't forget the adapter plug UK to Euro, I had to buy mine here but I was lucky, you'll find it cheaper and better quality on Amazon.uk.Thank you.
