We purchased this model 18 months ago and in the first year we had the engineer out 3 times. Twice with a computer error and once with a door lock problem. Each time we had to wait 2 - 3 weeks for the engineer to come out and in the case of the faulty door lock another week to wait for the part to arrive so nearly a month without a machine!!. My daughter has this machine too and almost exactly the same happened to her. The door lock failed a week after her having a baby and she has twins as well so you can imagine the washing piling up. She explained this but still had to wait 3 weeks for an engineer then a further week for the door lock. It seems this door lock is a bit of a problem. The engineer told us where he was off to next and it was 40 miles away so obviously they dont have many engineers hence the long waiting time!!! Good points to the machine is that the drum is large so if you have a big family its ideal. I also like the fact you can change the spin speed and temperature of the different washes, so if you have a dirty load you can choose one of the shorter washes but up the temperature to 60. The hottest is 90 which is very good for dirty towels etc.

We purchased this after our Hotpoint broke down. Overall this Whirlpool WM does what I wanted, however it doesn't have a baby wash nor does it audibly notify you when it has finished.The daily wash is very useful and on its fastest setting is still very quiet.

Seems very quiet even on spin.The system does its own checks and uses just what it needs water wise.
