I can't believe the cost of this machine I got mine (the gold one) free with two cases of mixed coffee pods, cost including delivery £105.00. I've had it for two weeks now and when I've finished the coffee pods that came with it it's going in the bin. I fell for the adverts that declared it to be the best coffee in the world and as I've used many of the pods I would find it awkward to send it back (note the FREE with two cases of coffee). After I complained to Ronbouts about the quality of the coffee they sent me a free sample of their stongest, Ristretto, coffee, this just about cut the rug. However, to deal with the temperature of the coffee, instruction No1 on the instruction leaflet says that you must not run water through the machine without a pod in position this means that the first pod through is provided with nearly cold water resulting in a cold cup of coffee, you can't drink it, that's 25p out of my pocket and into Rombouts. Complained to Rombouts, answer, "Run a couple of shots of water through the machine before making coffee" I refer you to rule No1. If like me you like the occasional Cappucinno you have to run two shots of Espresso through the machine and add milk, according to the instructions you should run the coffee through until it runs white, no good no flavour. If you want the top flavour for your Cappucinno you need to run no more than one fluid ounce of coffee water for each fluid ounce of milk. I use an eight ounce cup for my Cappucinno this means I use four pods of coffee for each cup, it's virtually cheaper and a lot less fuss to go to the local coffee shop.Sumation; Don't fall for coffee machine words of praise, I've not found a decent one yet, Nescafe Gold is usually a better cuppa. If you want a decent cup of coffee buy an espresso machine and select the coffee that YOU want, alright you may have to invest some time in learning how to use your machine but help is out there.What am I going to do with this machine? Well my wife has no sense of taste and will only drink instant coffee, it'll be perfect for her and as I say when the pods run out it's for the bin.
