We didn't look much into reviews when buying this appliance and trusted the name Bosch. With our washing machine, this worked, but this dishwasher wasn't such a great buy...On the plus side, it is very quiet- when I turned it on the first time I thought it wasn't working! It uses only 12 litres of water and got an A+ for its energy efficency, so it's also very cheap to run. The in build timer is also useful- you can choose to let it run in 2, 4, 6 etc hours, that way you can do a load in you washing machine and later run the dishwasher during the night.However there is one big minus: The "Quick" option. Well, it IS quick, but you might as well do the washing up yourself- it works only for plates and small items, so forget about those pots or anything that is really dirty! The other option is the "eco wash" (3 hours 15 minutes!) or the normal option (still 2 hours 15 minutes). The dishwashers we used before were much faster. If you have a big family, small children or cook a lot, you might want to look elsewhere- it just slows you down when cooking as you always have to wait for it to finish. After what I know now, I wouldn't buy it again.

I bought this dishwasher just before Christmas 2011, so have waited a good while to post my review.Firstly, I would describe myself as a loyal Bosch customer, I have a twelve year old Bosch washing machine, a Bosch tumble dryer, several bosch power tools, even my cars have Bosch components.This was purchased to replace a seven year old Bosch dishwasher that was fantastic, everything you would expect a quality product to be..this replacement is proving to be a huge disappointment.The build quality is inferior to the previous product, I can accept that, most things seem to be these days, I suspect to supposedly help the environment.My BIG problem is the quality of washing. IT FAILS TO WASH THE DISHES.We use premium tablets, thoroughly clean the washer on a regular basis, top up salt, rinse aid etc, do not put excessively dirty dishes into the washer, do not overfill the washer, it just doesn't clean.Quick wash or economy are useless, the hot wash occasionally cleans everything but generally the washer fails to do its job.I would ask for a replacement but since there is nothing mechanically wrong with this one, I don't see that I can demand a replacement.I cannot recommend this product, I can't imagine that another washer could be worse than this one !!PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINEOh, will mention that it is quiet....

This is my first product review but I need to vent my frustration with my Bosch dishwasher.I have had it for four years and have just spent an hour on my knees in the kitchen with a torch in my mouth trying to remedy fault "E 25". This is the third time I have had to try and sort this out during the last four years, it's not just a recent problem. Each time I have followed their instructions, got dirty and wet and worried at the number of parts I am undoing and then still had to end up calling out the plumber to pull it apart further to find the blockage - normally something small like a pea or some grease, nothing solid. If you google "E25" with "bosch" you will see that this happens to loads of people all the time.I am an impractical housewife and do not see why Bosch can't produce a dishwasher that works, I shouldn't have to become a plumber myself! My parents and wider family don't seem to have to wrestle with their dishwashers. It must be a design fault.Steer clear.
