CDA MC31 MICROWAVE

I've had the CDA MC31 microwave for just over two years. I purchased this as it has a 5 year warranty. Unfortunately after just 2 years and 2 months usage the microwave has now broke and I have since found out that the 5 year warranty isn't worth the paper its written on as the labour is only for 2 years. I have just been quoted £86.50 for the labour. As I purchased this microwave for £110 originally I certainly won't be getting it fixed by CDA and I certainly won't be purchasing a product by CDA again. My advice is to steer well clear of this product and manufacturer. Cheap product and poor and rude customer service.

This microwave has now broken down for the second time in just under 3 years. Customer service don't want to know other than to book an engineer to visit if I pay £90 up front first - but they say the good news is that there will be no parts to pay for as it is still under its' 5 year warranty. Seems like a good scam to me - but they'll not see any more of my money.So reliability aside is it any good? Well, guess it is OK for the basics but the manual is crap, it microwaves food very unevenly so you need to keep stoping and turning / moving the food around (so you can't just leave things be on one of the auto programs) and it is difficult to clean the roof of the oven as the grill element gets in the way. The built in fitting kit is pretty expensive for what is is (a stainless stell fascia and a few cheap metal mounting brackets / clips / screws) and it's fiddly to fit and not that secure, once mounted either.All in all, if you just want to heat basic foods it'll be OK, but just don't rely on it continuing to work for too long.PS Check out the reviews on Revoo too - seems others have had issues with reliability.
