excellent product with few negatives

This was an upgrade of an older Zanussi model (22yrs old to be honest). Ilove this model for a number of reason...1. large doorway (opens to the right), taking 7kg - yes 7kg not 6kg2. 3 vent position left, right or rear3. max 135 minutes (as well as 8 automatic settings)4. sensor works well5. fabric choices - cottons, synthetics, delicates6. filter at front, easy removal and replace (simply drop back in)7. Reverse action8. vent kit included (adapter to dryer and hose)9. 30 minutes of intermittent tumbling on programme completion for anti-crease10. A buzzer to tell you when complete prior to anti-crease cycle (chimes a few times for 30 seconds) this can be disabled11. Very clean lines/design12. Top acts as work surface13. you can get a kit to bolt on top of a (Zanussi only?) washing machineThe jury is out on the following1. push door to open/shut - great for when you bring armfuls of washing and the door is closed but may not be ideal for me soon as I have a curious 1yr old that could probably easily open it.2. you have to get an engineer in to swap door to open to left side - not a big deal - nice to have the option really.3. minimum of 40 mins setting on fixed timer option, if I want less I would have to manually stop - but this is not likely to be often.I do not feel it warrents less than five stars due to the last 3 points would not apply to all people anyway - great product :O)

Overdries

Using the automatic settings, this drier always overdried laundry, especially lighter items or items that had been partially dried in the washing line. The minimum time on the manual setting is 40 min, and this overdried lighter/partially dried laundry too. So, we had laundry come out that was too dry to iron and some synthetic items that were shrunk. Not only that, but by overdrying it is using excess electricity.I returned this dryer and got a Whirlpool AWZ3519 instead.
