Spin drier brilliant but catch lethal

The spin drier is as we expected in performance but the picture on the web site did not show the catch on the lid which we have found is very strong and catches your fingers as you close it. We had seen a similar one in the show room and did not like the lid closure and were a bit annoyed to find this one had the same fierce action on closing. It was not visible on the web site illustration and no information was available. I would have preferred a gentler action. The plus side is that you could not close it accidentally.

Pretty decent

Pros:-Compact.-Quick - just a couple of minutes.-Removes alot of water from clothes - when you take them out they are just slightly damp.Cons:-Often makes a loud banging noise, which I think is the top of the drum hitting the outside (the drum is secured at the base only). You can normally stop this by only half filling and really compacting the clothes down, so there are no spaces. Also holding the machine as still as possible when the drum is at its slowest. However, this means you really can't do many clothes at a time - maybe a jumper and jeans.-Its noisy! Even when it's not banging, it gradually gets louder and louder until it makes you want to run away and hide. I'm hoping there's some serious safety features on it. There probably is.-The clasp thing holding the lid closed is vicious - it's an evil plastic claw. You definately don't want to catch your fingers in it.Overall its decent quality and does the job well.
