Brilliant Machine - A Couple of Very Minor Niggles

We choose this machine because it was advertised as being very quiet. It is incredibly quiet - in fact, I have to pop in the kitchen just to make sure I've switched it on. We live in a block of flats and that's why we wanted this type of dishwasher, our previous one, Siemans, finally gave up after 10 years. It cleans beautifully, and has a very wide range of options.We are still getting used to the pull-out tray for cutlery which works fine, except that when knives are inserted, the part of the blade held by the tight rack doesn't really get washed properly. This is pretty minor, since a quick wipe fixes this.However, having no cutlery basket creates a cavernous bottom rack, and the height of the rack above this can be adjusted very easily.The only very minor issue is that even with the second rack placed as low as it'll go, it can't easily handle tall wine glasses. Having said that, it seems to work OK if they are not placed upright.So far, a lovely machine, and we can now leave it on very late at night without the neighbours even knowing we've got it!

Lovely machine, but don't buy the extended power lead!

Very happy with the wash and the low noise level. I wasn't sure about the cutlery tray at first, but now I really like it. One small warning: don't buy the extended power lead from Bosch! The lead reaches 1.2m to the lower left or 1.6m to the lower right of the machine. The lead is moulded with a 13amp plug on one end, and a proprietary plug on the machine end. As the lead didn't quite reach my power supply, I ordered the longer lead as a spare part from Bosch(£27 incl postage). It seemed pretty expensive, but I didnt want a cable join in an area that might get damp. Bosch simply sent a 3m extension cable with a 13amp plug on one end and 13 amp socket on the other. An equivalent lead would have cost less than £5 on Amazon or at B&Q.
