uneven cooking and has a fault at 4 months old

I bought this oven as a replacement for a Panasonic 1000W combination which had gone wrong about two weeks after its 3rd birthday.Because I like gadgets and innovations I thought this design, not having a turntable but having a 'stirrer' underneath the floor of the oven,must be a good idea. It turns out it's not that good. It seems that if I put food right in the middle it doesn't cook evenly. I regularly cooktwo blocks of coley fish from frozen (for my cats). One night after 5 minutes it will be scolding hot, the next night it will take 6 minutes.I can't believe that there's any difference in the density / water content of the fish as it comes from the same packet.Also, worth noting, if you've ever used microwave browning dishes (the sort which have metallic base) then this oven is not for you -because the microwaves are reflected up through the floor of the oven they wouldn't get through the base of the browning dish.I bought it in September 2011, it's just developed a fault where whenever I press the 'door open' button it trips the RCB on the mainscircuit (so all power to the house is tripped out). Comet have given me an engineers appointment in a week so I went and bought a 'cheap'standard microwave to use now and keep as a spare.I couldn't recommend this - I've bought Panasonic combination ovens since 1989 and they have always been reliable, never had to call outan engineer, but something seems very wrong with this model and I'm not sure if it's a design fault or quality control issue. If I could returnit and get a replacement other brand I think I'd buy LG
